In the past I used to turn events down or pass them onto my photographer friends. I am not really sure why. What I am realizing is that they are so much fun and I get to do what I love, photograph people. On Saturday I photographed a Bar Mitzvah at JT’s on the Bay in Bluepoint. Here are some images from the party that I wanted to share.
WILD STYLE – Bohemian Inspired
I have to say that I always dreamed about being a fashion photographer for kids, teens and tweens. I love the idea of declaring a concept/theme along with a team and doing whatever it takes to execute it.
Here is what went into producing the group of images below. 1. Theme/concept development 2. Wardrobe & styling. 3. Finding a hair & make-up artist. 4. Scouting a location. 5. Casting models. 6. Setting a date and time. 7. Finding a photo assistant. 8. A 61/2 hour day making the photographs.
9. Editing 2 hours. I can go on but didn’t want it to sound like I am not in love with every step. Of course the end result is what truly excites me. This is what makes me excited to get busy working every day.

I would like to thank Angela- Lynn Ware and Taylor Vorn from http://www.alwmakeup.com/team/ . They arrived at exactly our start time AND…. they drove up from Philadelphia. They were so professional and talented! The bohemian dress and hat are from H&M .
Thank you to my models, Luke Lehan, Celia Spero & Caroline Coventry. They made us laugh and because of them the shoot was a success! Enjoy!
