It was one of the most unique spaces I have shot at yet and one that I will always remember as “perfect in every way”. Not only was the family so nice to work with, Maya the Bat-Mitzvah girl was one of the sweetest 13 yr old’s I have ever met! The theme was NYC so for Maya’s pre-shoot we decided to head where else, NYC! Check out some of the images below.

When my niece Emily asked me to photograph her wedding I was truly honored.
Couples always have their favorite season and Emily & Rich were no exception. When they told me the wedding was January 7th 2016 at Mystic Seaport, in Connecticut, my first thought was maybe we will have an unseasonably mild day. What a great location for outdoor wedding photos!
As we know, having a winter wedding can pose some challenges, but it can also work out for both the winter loving bride & groom and the photographer. Although we did not make it to all the locations I scouted out before the wedding, it couldn’t have been more perfect in every way, even the unexpected snow storm. They couldn’t have been happier.
Last week I photographed a special little girl at the beautiful Greek orthodox Church, St Nicholas in West Babylon. I have had the pleasure of working with this wonderful family a few times. First was the baby shower, then the newborn photo shoot and most recently, the Christening, which was by far the most beautiful baptism I have ever seen. Here are a few images from all 3 milestones that I wanted to share.
Ahhhh YOUNG LOVE! I met Eric Colby & Michelle Wagner at West Meadow Beach for their engagement session. Eric won a gift certificate for my services at a charity event over the summer. I had no idea what to expect since I never met him before. How lucky was I to have such an adorable couple to work with. www.traceyspero.com
Law Firm Headshot Session with Sokoloff Stern LLP on Long Island
A corporate headshot photographer, only has a limited amount of time to make the magic happen. The most time I have with each person is 10 minutes max and they are uncomfortable with every second of it. Either they are super busy and don’t see the importance of me being there or they simply hate being in front of the camera. In either case, my job is not easy but I LOVE it! What I find most rewarding is when people are surprised that they actually like the way they look.

I had an opportunity to photograph Jennifer Bartko, owner of Petrey Real Estate located in Long Beach, NY. She was looking for an image to submit for the cover of an industry magazine. I immediately thought POWERFUL. APPROACHABLE and PROFESSIONAL.
When I first begin working with my clients I immediately ask them to describe their brand and how they want to be perceived. After this initial conversation, I put together a mood board for inspiration, pick a location, talk about wardrobe all to ensure that we NAIL IT!
What I love most about being a portrait photographer is that I am inspired by people all around me. Every once in a while I will actually go and ask someone if I can photograph them. In this case it was a young girl with the coolest hair. I was walking in Northport last month and followed a mother to her car to first explain to her that I was not a crazy person then told her how beautiful her children were. This led to a conversation and her daughter Mya being a part of my Vintage Summer photo shoot. She was so easy to work with. Beautiful inside and out!
